The iPhone 14 Pro

Apple’s new iPhone 14 Pro may offer a bigger display than the current model, but there are some differences to look for. Despite the smaller bezels, it might have an under-display Touch ID and 120Hz ProMotion display. Read on to find out more. And if you have to choose, don’t be tempted by the rumored “always on” display!

According to new rumors, the iPhone 14 Pro may feature a smaller display bezel and a slimmer bezel than its predecessors. This news was reported by Ice Universe. Apparently, the 6.7-inch iPhone has bezels around 20 percent smaller than its predecessors. However, this rumor seems to be based on a single leaked image. This picture shows that the bezels on the iPhone 14 Pro Max are actually 20 percent smaller than those on the iPhone 13 Plus.

Rumors have also indicated that the iPhone 14 Pro Max will feature symmetrical bezels on both sides. This is consistent with Apple’s recent bezel reductions and removal of the notch. This symmetry makes the device appear thinner than one with i-shaped punch holes. As such, it’s a welcome change for fans of Apple’s phones. And while this news may seem surprising, Apple fans should rejoice.

CAD renderings have revealed that the iPhone 14 Pro Max will have 20% smaller bezels around its display than its predecessor. The CAD design of the new device also reveals the location of the rear camera bump and an updated True Depth camera. The rumored iPhone 14 Pro Max is also expected to feature a pill-and-hole pattern. Compared to the iPhone 12, the iPhone 14 Pro Max will feature smaller bezels around its display.

In addition to the iPhone 14 Pro’s smaller bezels, the iPhone 13 Pro Max will have 1.95mm thick bezels. This is smaller than the iPhone 13 Pro’s 2.42mm bezels. Apple is also rumored to have shortened the height of the earpiece speaker to just 0.57mm. However, the company has not confirmed these claims, and it is still too early to tell if the iPhone 14 Pro will have these changes.

Apple’s iPhone 14 Pro may have an always-on display, but it will likely be a different type of display. Apple has halted the development of under-screen fingerprint sensors for Touch ID, but it may return in a different form. The base-model iPhone 14 hasn’t been rumored, but the Pro version reportedly will feature a similar LTPO OLED display. The LTPO OLEDs are capable of a 120 Hz variable refresh rate – a feature Apple calls ProMotion. Apple could be sourcing these displays from Samsung or LG, as they are already supplying the devices with similar technology.

While there is no confirmation on the design of the standard iPhone 14 models, Jon Prosser has compared measurements of a screen protector with CAD renderings of the device’s sensors. This suggests that the new iPhone models will not have a notch, instead of employing a “hole-punch” design for the cameras. The cutout is much smaller than the notch that currently covers the rear camera and Faces ID sensors on the iPhone.

Although Apple is unlikely to go backward and include an always-on display in its standard models, it’s not impossible for the company to improve the performance of its screens. In fact, the iPhone 13 family of phones already have 120Hz LTPO panels, which would enable the device’s screen to refresh at a higher rate while retaining a high resolution. If Apple does add ProMotion to the standard iPhone 14, it would likely make a major difference in the quality of the display and battery life of the device.

Apple is also unlikely to ditch the notch in standard models. Besides, the company’s long-standing reputation in iPhone leaks has made it likely that Apple will keep the notch for another generation. However, if the new iPhones can avoid the ‘i-sore’ of the display cutouts, the new models will likely sell better than the current generation. The Apple 14 Pro is expected to debut Apple’s new A16 processor while the non-Pro models will continue to use the A15 Bionic.

• It may have an under-display Touch ID:

The iPhone 14 Pro is expected to come with an under-display Touch ID, but it’s not clear when the feature will arrive. Apple has been slow to introduce under-display Touch ID in its recent iPhones, but Ming-Chi Kuo, a respected Apple analyst, has predicted that the new feature will arrive in 2023. In fact, he thinks that by 2023, Face ID will be the only biometric option for unlocking the iPhone. In addition, he expects the camera sensor to be upgraded from 12MP to 48MP.

Despite the new feature, Apple still hasn’t officially announced the new iPhones. Rumors about the next-generation iPhones have surfaced online, and it’s difficult to make any solid judgments until the devices are officially announced. However, it’s important to keep in mind that Apple has recently secured a patent for an under-display fingerprint sensor. This technology could replace Face ID for iPhones and iPads, as it’s cheaper to install and more secure.

Another rumor claims that the iPhone 14 Pro will have an under-display Touch ID. It’s possible that Apple will use a periscope camera on the back of the iPhone 14 Pro. Prosser’s renders show a flattened camera bump near the top of the display and a thicker body with more room for a bigger battery. If true, the iPhone 14 Pro will feature a 48MP camera.

While the Apple iPhone 14 Pro won’t have under-display Touch ID, it’s unlikely to lack fingerprint scanning. Apple has repeatedly denied rumors that the 14 series would feature in-display Touch ID. But it’s unlikely to appear on the iPhone 14 series until after the iPhone 14 Pro has been launched. For now, though, users should consider the possibility. A new fingerprint sensor could make iOS phones safer, especially if users have masks on.

Despite rumors that Apple plans to bring back Touch ID, it remains to be seen when the device hits the market. This new feature may be a replacement for the current Face ID, but it could co-exist with it in the future. However, it is not clear how long it will take before we see a new iPhone with this feature. If the new model has an under-display Touch ID, it might be released sooner rather than later.

• It may have a 120Hz ProMotion display:

According to recent iPhone 14 leaks, the iPhone fourteen Pro may have a 120Hz refresh rate, a display that will deliver sharp images even at high refresh rates. The high refresh rate is common in mid-range smartphones. Nevertheless, Apple has yet to confirm this claim. However, it is possible that Apple will restrict the use of this high refresh rate display to the iPhone 14 Pro. Considering the size of the new phone, it might be possible to achieve the same performance.

A new report claims that Apple’s upcoming iPhone 14 series will feature a 120Hz ProMotion display, though the cheaper iPhone 14 and iPhone 13 will likely stick to 60Hz displays. Currently, ProMotion displays are exclusive to Apple’s iPhones and help distinguish the Pros from the non-Pros. This rumor also suggests that future cheaper iPhones will have ProMotion displays as well.

While the iPhone 13 Pro models are expected to ship with a 120Hz refresh rate, the non-Pro variants will likely have 60Hz displays. With the 120Hz refresh rate, LG is developing LPTO OLED displays, so a 120Hz ProMotion display might be in the cards for all four new iPhones. However, the company has not yet confirmed any plans to ship 120Hz ProMotion models with their base models.

If it is indeed a case of a 120Hz ProMotion display in the iPhone 14 Pro, then the design of the display might be different. According to an analysis by Economic Daily News, the phone has entered trial production, which is an Apple practice where they collect data about their products and production process before introducing the final product to the market. The trial production process is set to begin in late February/early March.
